On December 6, 2009, the Travis County Wellness Committee, in association with the Austin Runners Club, is sponsoring the 6th annual Brown Santa 5K run/walk, Kids K and Wellness Fair at the Travis County Exposition Center. All proceeds will benefit the Travis County Sheriff's Office Brown Santa program, a non profit organization that assists needy families living in rural Travis County during the Christmas season. All recipients receive a complete turkey dinner with all the trimmings and each child 16 and under receive individually wrapped gifts.
