Come swim to help members of your community! Each year, the Volunteer Services Council for the Austin State Supported Living Center hosts Splash for Cash! The 30th Splash for Cash! will be held on Saturday, July 18th from 8 - 10 a.m. at four Austin area pools. Anyone who raises $35 or more gets a Splash for Cash! T-shirt. Anyone raising over $800 will be eligible for a drawing for one of three great prizes – including a Beach Towel hand signed by Michael Phelps, Katie Hoff and Scott Spann!
Splash for Cash! is a swim event where anyone can swim or can choose to sponsor a friend who is swimming. Each donation could mean a new wheelchair backpack, life vest, or other equipment for one of the individuals at the Living Center. Swimmers and volunteers are rewarded for their efforts at a party, where awards are distributed for the people swimming the most laps and the person raising the most money.
You can help make life more fun for the individuals at the Living Center through your support! Just sign up as a swimmer, sponsor a swimmer, make a donation, or volunteer at Splash for Cash! The Austin State Supported Living Center, located on West 35th Street, provides 24 hour / 7 days per week services to over 400 individuals with developmental disabilities right in the central Austin community.
