Join us as we get fit and have fun Saturday, April 18, 2009 with the second annual Bat-Stravaganza Fun Run and Family Festival at Scott & White Healthcare Round Rock.
All registration proceeds will benefit Hope Alliance, an organization dedicated to empowering victims of family violence, sexual assault, and other violent crimes through support and advocacy.
The 2009 Scott & White Bat-Stravaganza is a non-competitive, 5K family fun run and walk for all ages and athletic abilities. Chip timing will be available for interested runners. The Kids 1K starts at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K Fun Run starts at 9 a.m.
For us, it's not just about the run - it's also about building community and celebrating our families. Admission to the Family Festival is FREE. All event attendees will receive a free Baxter the Bat stuffed animal. In addition to the run, we're hosting a day of family-friendly events including:Biscuit Brothers concertClimbing rock wallFace painting from Kiwi the ClownBalloon animals, juggling and magic by Bonzo Crunch, Fool at LargeCaricaturesMoonwalkPregnancy and chair massages$1 Raffle with tons of great prizesFitness, wellness and safety boothsBat Clinic - Children will have the opportunity to take their Baxter the Bat toy through a "check-up" at fun and educational booths in our Emergency Department. This clinic can help ease the fear and anxiety many children feel when visiting a doctor's office.
Packet Pick-up will be available on April 16 & 17 from 8am - 5pm at Scott & White Hospital - Round Rock located at 300 University Blvd.
Packets will also be available at the registration booths on the day of the race from 8am to 9am
