Galloway Getting Started in Running Programs Georgetown
and Austin Starting March 6, and 7, 2010 at 7 am.
Classes are limited to 25 runners for Saturday and 25 for Sundays to give personal attention to training. Come on out first day and see if we are for you! You can always register after first day.
Saturday morning program will meet at the Runtex Store in Georgetown at 7 am.
Sunday Program will meet Runtex University on Lake Austin Blvd. at 7 am.
This is a 10 week training program designed to take the walk/ light jogger and have them be able to run/walk 5 miles in 10 weeks. This is a very fun program so leave your stress and worries in the car as they are not going to be needed.
Our May 2009 Getting Started Folks last year were able to join our San Antonio Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon Training and complete their first half marathon. There were 5 folks that ran their first marathon in Austin Feb. 14, 2010.
We will train the Jeff Galloway run/walk training method which allows you to train and remain injury free. We'll meet as a group 1 day on Saturday or Sunday mornings your choice of day at 7am. for our group runs. You will be scheduled two additional days of running on your own. This allows for flexibility with our everyday life schedules.
Think you can't run just give us 2 hours a week and we can change how you view running forever! You can bring a friend or two and you have a 98% chance you'll still be friends after the program.
