Galloway Getting Started in Running Program Austin Starting May 10, 2008
Saturday morning program will meet at the Runtex Store on Lake Austin Blvd. at 7 am.
This is a 10 week training program designed to take the walk/ light jogger and have them be able to run/walk 5 miles in 10 weeks. This is a very fun program so leave your stress and worries in the car as they are not going to be needed.
We will train the Jeff Galloway run/walk training method which allows you to train and remain injury free. We'll meet as a group 1 day on Saturday mornings at 7am. for our group runs. You will be scheduled two additional days of running on your own. This allows for flexibility with our everyday life schedules.
Think you can't run just give us 2 hours a week and we can change how you view running forever! You can bring a friend or two and you have a 98% chance you'll still be friends after the program.
This is a great program if you are thinking about running the San Antonio Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon in San Antonio Nov. 16. The Getting Started Program leads right into our half marathon training program starting in July.
The Rock 'n' Roll Marathon and Half are more than just a race. Picture a large rock concert with just a few running steps between the bands. Now picture youself Rocking down the streets of San Antonio and on your way to your Finishers Medal at the Finish line!
Getting Started we will cover the A-Z's of running or everything you wanted to know about running but were afraid to ask.
