Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund Fight It! 5K Run/Walk

A 5K cross country run/walk to support the Brenda Mehling Cancer Fund (BMCF). BMCF supports patients ages 18-40 as they undergo cancer treatment. It provides services to meet daily needs that are not covered by insurance. Since Brenda founded it in 2001, the Fund has helped nearly 175 recipients, providing over $150,000 in services. This event is the major source of funding for the BMCF.
The course runs through the back of Santa Clarita's Central Park. Registration begins at 7:00am, race starts at 8:00am. Participants may walk or run the course. Dogs are also welcome. Award categories for all age groups, including fastest dog! Registration ranges from $20 to $35 and dogs are $5. In addition to the race, there is a raffle for all participants, a Vendor Village with freebies, and a demo by the San Fernando Rocket Dog Runners.
