Elite Performance Training with Steve Sisson
Rogue Training Systems is proud to present a new standard in training. This program is for experienced distance runners who are looking to take their running to the next level. Rogue is proud to present the optimal preparation for racing season in the fall. Coached by Steve Sisson University of Texas Women's Assistant Coach, this program will focus on strength & speed workouts on Tuesdays (incorporating hills, track & tempo runs) & fartlek and tempo runs on Thursdays. Saturdays will be reserved for long runs, which will incorporate your long runs.

This program's focus will be on preparing the competitive runner for the stresses involved in a varied pace training regimen beginning in September.

The idea of the program is to train local runners with the same techniques & attention usually reserved for elite level runners in a team environment. The Performance Project is a personalized, small group program designed around YOUR individual goals & focused on continued improvement through the years.

Coached by two of the best coaches available, Steve Sisson & Carmen Troncoso (please see the Coaches page for their bios), In order to maximize the athlete's training experience, The Performance Project groups will initially be limited to 25 participants for each coach. The coaches will spend an hour in individual consultation to determine long & short term goals, injury history, training times & race plans for each Performance Project athlete. A training program will then be arranged around a central workout time & location for all athletes but vary in terms of pace & distance based on individual needs.

Candidates for The Performance Project will need to send an email of introduction to Steve Sisson at steve@roguerunning.com indicating initial interest & specific goals. Please remember that there is a 25 person maximum per group initially. We may add other Performance Project athletes as the project continues.

The Performance Project is recommended only for those runners who are absolutely committed to improving their running. Though we are unconcerned with the paces of the individual runners, you must be an experieiced runner who is looking for the extra edge of individual focus in a team environment.
