The Austin Marathon Foundation Award Winners in a variety of categories were announced at the Austin Runners Club meeting last Wednesday night at Hoover's.

The winners are:

Runners of the year: Desiree Ficker and Lance Parker.

Masters runners of the year: Carmen Troncoso and Chris Gunderson.

Trail/Ultra runners of the year: Paul Terranova and Meredith Terranova.

Youth runners of the year: Ashley Isham and David Fisher.

Volunteers of the year: Paul Carmona, Vince Quiroz and Russ Secker.

Coach of the year: Gilbert Tuhabonye (Gilbert's Gazelles).

Race of the year (10-K or shorter): Moonlight Margarita Run.

Race of the year (15-K or longer): 3M Half Marathon.

Race T-shirt of the year: ARA/RunTex 20-Miler.

Sponsor of the year: Fila Shoes.
