Gilbert, Bernard Tie For Win In OK City; Sara Pizzochero Wins Marathon

Austinites dominated the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon Sunday for the second year in a row. Gilbert Tuhabonye and his cousin, Bernard Manirakiza, ran the half marathon together and crossed the finish line with upraised arms to tie for first in 1:11:19. On Saturday, Manirakiza won the Texas Round-Up 5-K.

In the men's marathon, Peter Rauch of Austin placed third with a time of 2:48:13. Jerry Faulkner won in 2:36:03.

Sara Pizzochero, 32, of Austin defended her women's title with a time of 3:02:07.
