The Austin Police Department is seeking information about an assault that occurred on Wednesday, February 1st on the Town Lake Hike and Bike Trail near Cummings Street.
A female runner reported to police at 6:15 a.m. that she was grabbed from behind and thrown to the ground by an unknown male. The female suspect struggled with the suspect and yelled. The suspect fled the scene.
The suspect is described as: a black male in his early 20s about six foot tall with a thin build and short black hair.
He was last seen wearing a plaid long sleeve fleece jacket or long sleeve shirt over a dark T-shirt and dark pants.
