On Friday night, Texas won the distance medley relay in 9:32.89 and on Saturday took home wins in the 4-mile and 3200-meter relays. UT also won the 4 x 800.
All American Leonel Manzano, a two-time NCAA mile champion, led the Longhorns with a strong anchor leg in the 4-mile relay to finish in 16:29.5. A couple of hours later, UT followed with a victory in the 3200 relay in 7:23.51.
"The purpose of coming up to Pennsylvania was to get three victories," said Manzano, who was picked as the college men's relay athlete of the meet for the second consecutive year. "We really weren't that worried about times. We were out there just to race people. If we got challenged, we were up to it. If we didn't, we were just going to run our race, and that's exactly what we did.
"In a meet that's been around for 114 years, we've been able to come here and do what we set out to do. Everybody has that in mind when they come here. Our No. 1 goal is to win."
The last men's team to sweep the distance races was Michigan in 2005. Before that, Arkansas did it in 1999, and Villanova swept the races 11 times from 1964-80.
On Friday, Manzano held off Stanford's Russell Brown on the final leg of the DMR.
UT's Darren Brown and Kyle Miller were on the 4-mile and 3200-meter teams. Brown was worried his team's bid for the sweep would come apart during his leg of the rough 3200.
"That's one of the most physical races I've ever been in," said Brown who had a bloody left hand. "I was blessed with an opening with 110 meters left and was able to just kind of find my way out."
Miller had a slightly smoother ride on the third leg and was able to make up ground, getting the baton to anchor Jacob Hernandez with a slight lead. Hernandez brushed off a challenge from LSU with about 150 meters to go to win easily.
The Longhorns 4 x 800 team also won (without Manzano) in 7:23.51.
