Bernard Manirakiza of Austin won the Oklahoma City Memorial Half Marathon on Sunday in a time of 1:08:06. It was the second time Manirakiza has won Oklahoma City as he tied with his cousin Gilbert Tuhabonye in 2006 for the victory.
Manirakiza won by more than two minutes over Jerry Faulker in second in 1:10:28. Owen Washburn of Austin, a former UT cross-country and track star, finished third in 1:11:11. The women's division was won by Lindsay Grewe in 1:26:34.
In the accompanying marathon, Nathan Adams won the men's division in 2:36:43 with Jennifer Graef taking the women's in 3:02:15. Brandi Shaw of Austin ran 3:13:03 to win the 30-34 age group.
