Easter Seals - For more than fifty years, Easter Seals - Central Texas, a local 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit, has been providing quality, person-centered support services to children and adults with disabilities and those who care for them. Support from the IBM Uptown Classic would be used for support of our Early Childhood Intervention Program (ECI), which provides services for children (ages 0-3) with disabilities or developmental delays. Many of these children are low to moderate income.

Family Connections - Family Connections is a unique and dynamic community-based nonprofit agency serving the city of Austin and the surrounding area. The organization safeguards the community’s youngest and most vulnerable residents by educating and supporting those with the greatest responsibility for child health, safety and well being, including parents, child care providers, teachers, and community leaders. The merger of Austin Families, Inc. and Connections Resource Center created Family Connections in January 2004. After 10 years of serving children and families in the Austin area, Connections Resource Center was well established as a thriving community-based resource located in Central Austin, three blocks from the busy interstate highway that traverses the Central Texas region. Austin Families, Inc. has provided services for families and child care programs for the past 25 years. As the community’s child care resource and referral agency, one of its roles has been to help families locate child care for their children, help eligible families pay for it, or identify resources to help them pay for it. Collectively, the two agencies serve over 25,000 parents and child care providers annually.
