Awards
All finishers will receive a long sleeve Brooks Podium high
tech fabric race shirt and a finisher's medal. The top 3 male
and female finishers, top masters, big runners, and 5 year age
group division winners will have their names published in
local running publications. There will be NO awards ceremony. |

The RunTex 30K (18.6 miles) is race #6 in the Freescale Austin
Distance Challenge. The Freescale Distance Challenge is a
series of 8 races leading up to and including the Freescale
Austin Marathon on February 13, 2005. The 30K will be run in
Northern Hays County, starting and finishing at Hays High
School in Buda, Texas. All proceeds from the race will benefit
the Hays High School class of 2005 "Project Graduation", a
non-profit, tax-exempt organization. The course will be run on
Hays County roads starting at Bob Shelton Stadium on the Hays
High School campus. This Course is certified. USA Track &

Directions to
Start/Finish
Hays High School, 4800 Jack C. Hays Trail, Buda, TX
Hays High School is located approx. 10 miles south of Austin
on Jack C. Hays Trail (FM 2770), between Buda and Kyle. Off of
IH-35 take the Buda exit #221. Drive west on Loop 4 for
approximately 2 miles to Buda. Take a right on FM 2770 for
approximately 3 miles to Hays High School. |

Course Support
There will be water and sports drinks every 2 miles. Porta-cans
will be available on the course. The race will finish on the
track at Bob Shelton stadium, located on the Hays H.S. campus.
Good food and beverages will be provided by HEB and the Buda
Lions Club. Clif Shots will be available at miles 8 and 14.

All volunteers should show up at 7:00 a.m. on race day at Hays
H.S. gym, rain or shine! Students, community service hours can
be earned. |
